This weekend the 4 kids between my mom and step dad and the grandkids went to their house to do pumpkin carving. It's become an annual thing the weekend before Halloween. Our parents donate the pumpkins, paints, paterns for carving, carving tools and the food. Us big kids and the little kids just make one big mess. Only a couple young kids actually carve their own pumpkin with little help, all the others it's one of the grown ups that do all the work while they run around like a crazy person. We decided that all us adults are the ones having the most fun carving cuz most the kids take off to play. Oh well, it's still a good time as always.


I think this one of Buddy and Zakk is so cute!!

Kayla got the most creative, not only did she

carve a face she also carved her name in the back of the pumpkin. It was really really good!!

Aurie workin away. She did a really good job considering her right arm still hurts her sometimes. She did most the work herself.

This last week I took our kitty Chicken in to get fixed. She decided it'd be fun to escape outside. Needless to say she opened her stitches, by sunday it had opened about an inch. It was a great weekend dealin with her.This is how she's lookin now. She's had this collar since Monday and hates every minute of it. It does give Buddy and me, and whoever sees her some good entertainment. Especially when she finds a bug(flies, spiders, crickets, etc.). She's hillarious.

This is what she looked like most the weekend. Dr. Lindy put steri strips on to hold it closed then we put 3 nylons and part of a sock to keep her from messin with the strips. Of course she wouldn't leave it all alone so I cut the bottom part of a plastic cup off and put the top part on her head. All so she couldn't reach where the steri strips were. That was even more entertaining, every few steps she took down she went. I guess you just would've had to see it. But trust me as much as I hated and felt bad puttin her through all that, it was hillarious. And still is.

My MiGhTy HuNtEr

The time of year Buddy lives for has come and gone. He had some good luck this year, just like last year. Just when I was getting used to him being gone most the day and night, huntin's over. Now I have to get used to him not being gone. Oh well. Good job Honey at puttin more meat on the table!!!!

This isn't Buddy's deer. It's his best friend Tucker's HUGE 4 point, Buddy just couldn't resist pretending it was his own. This deer dwarfs Buddy's bad!!! Good job Tuck!!

Here's the "Antelopee" he got last month. He was excited to shoot somethin with his precious baby Sendero. If I remember right he "pluged" her at 5oo yards.

This was the first hunt he did this year. Archery Elk, spike or cow hunt. He got this cow within the first 2 or 3 days of the hunt starting. If you're wondering where he got her it was up "No Tell 'em Draw."


Now here is Buddy's deer. He got him a few days ago at "Forget 'em Springs." Once again he was happy to shoot another critter with his baby Sendero. If ya can't tell this deer is a 3 point 2 or 2 1/2 yr old buck. I'm sure you can see now why he was pretending Tucker's was his. He's not very happy that he didn't get one bigger than a 3.

My OlDeSt NiEcEs

This summer my brother Dusty's oldest daughter Tia(17) had a baby boy, Dustin Micheal(2 mnths). Of course this made me a Great Aunt, it's still kinda crazy to me. It was the craziest part of the whole summer. The thing that really sucks is she lives in Vegas and her younger sister lives in Hurricane. Their dad (Dusty) past almost 2 yrs ago so now I don't get to see them.
